Since i started painting properly back in December 2011, i have produced some interesting work in the form of commissions for friends, family and strangers alike.

Where it says studying is not big enough, haha.

I have 3 A-Levels in Art and Design (Unendorsed), Graphic Communication and Fine Art, I then studied on the Foundation art and Design Diploma before moving away to south Wales to study Animation (Stop-motion) at Degree level.

I have a further qualification in Web Applications in the form of a module on a Degree in Multimedia.

I have recently finished a Post-Grad certificate in Education Post 16 (Teaching) and work at a sixth form college.

Currently I am furthering my qualifications in web design (Dynamic web design) at Furness college which is a module of a Foundation Degree in Computing.

This is a design i did for a band, where i was given the front cover design and was asked to create a back cover and CD label design to compliment it. The band had seen the design i did for another band called Crane and liked the idea of a hand drawn style. I was given an "blank canvas" so to speak really for this piece, which I don't really like, because its nice to have some idea from which to work from. So i went with the idea that they are have a genre of folk/old school rock band. I personally associate dusty road to folk music and bikers to old school rock and so with a bit of imagination a created this. I have hand drawn a bike which i have then traced the back ground of the image of a dusty road and rusty gate on top of the bike drawing. Then i have made a photocopy of this image and scrunched the paper up in to a ball and unfolded again. Once again i scanned the un-scrunched paper illustration in to the computer and using photoshop tweaked the colours and finally added the hand (which is mine) and finished with the text. The amount of variations i tried with photos, number of times i scan the image in to see how it degrades and other processes made for an interesting project of testing.
