Show More Artist Statement

Since i started painting properly back in December 2011, i have produced some interesting work in the form of commissions for friends, family and strangers alike.

Where it says studying is not big enough, haha.

I have 3 A-Levels in Art and Design (Unendorsed), Graphic Communication and Fine Art, I then studied on the Foundation art and Design Diploma before moving away to south Wales to study Animation (Stop-motion) at Degree level.

I have a further qualification in Web Applications in the form of a module on a Degree in Multimedia.

I have recently finished a Post-Grad certificate in Education Post 16 (Teaching) and work at a sixth form college.

Currently I am furthering my qualifications in web design (Dynamic web design) at Furness college which is a module of a Foundation Degree in Computing.

Cassie E.P. art work
Title:
Cassie E.P. art work
Description:
This piece was pretty much thrown together in the end because due to the bands deadline for the design (2 weeks) and giving me little input to what they wanted I was under pressure to make something simple but hopefully effective. Again like some of my other band art work, the band had a front cover design, "the figure head." I decided to use the same paper cut out look of the front cover to apply it to the E.P. track names. Mixing the negative cut out area of the track names and the positive area backed on different coloured card the back cover was created. The band were happy with the design thankfully and i had the go ahead to produce 50 copies. which was harder than i imagined as i used thick card, and the folding/gluing process took an age! Lol.
