Atlas E.P. cover design
This was my first ever E.P. design for a band back in 2009. I personally enjoy working with organic hand drawn imagery. With this in mind i used a tea bag to stain a A4 piece of paper for the background, making sure that the colour/staining was not even all over to create a interesting pattern. I then laid the tea bag to rest on a separate piece of paper to dry. Super-imposing the tea bag and tea stain background together later in Photoshop. I then designed to add a kind of frame around the outside with hand drawn swirls, and making a hand drawn background to the Atlas text to make it stand out more. Finishing off with scanning in lined paper with ripped edges for the text to sit on. This design was later used for the website to keep to a repeated theme, www atlashq co uk. check it out!
